Miyazaki, a land of tropical atmosphere and beautiful sceanary
宮崎県は南国情緒溢れ景色も素晴らしい、
Miyazaki is a beautiful place with a tropical atmosphere and spectacular tourist sites.
My chance of visiting Miyazaki was brought by JAL Campaign, "Dokokanimairu". This campaign offers you free air tickets with only 6000 miles. 1日目(First day in Miyazaki)
•宮崎 いざ出発（羽田から～）雨の予報・・
羽田から8:00のJAL便で出発。宮崎空港に9:40分頃到着。ほぼ満席。
Flew from Tokyo Haneda airport at 8:00 by JAL and arrived at Miyazaki around 9:40.
宮崎行きの飛行機はバスに乗って搭乗。
羽田空港内でバスに乗って飛行機に乗るのは初めて。
In Haneda, you have to take a bus to get on the plane to Miyazaki.
東京は晴れており、上空から綺麗な景色が楽しめます。
you could enjoy the beautiful scenery from the window.
Miyazaki Bougainvillea airport is small but clean with hospitality.
到着後、事前に調べていた、宮崎県唯一の観光バス会社に連絡。
宮崎交通（日南海岸・飫肥コース）青島神宮・堀切戸峠・飫肥・鵜戸神宮

到着時間から、このツアーに最初から参加するのは難しかったのだが、電話で
途中から合流して参加可能か伺ったところ、OKを頂く。
つ目のスポット、青島観光終了から合流できることになり、青島バス亭（11:00）に待ち合わせすることになった。
※たまたま、雨で人数が少なかったため、対応いただけた可能性あり、確認が必要です。
The only tourist bus in Miyazaki accepted my request of joining the tour from the end of the first tourist venue Aoshima. So I moved to the Aoshima bus station from the airport and met the tour group at 11:00.
空港から、バスで青島方面へ。9:50分頃乗車。青島までは35分程度。
日南方面は１～2時間に1本くらいしかないため、（電車も同様）公共交通機関を利用する場合は、時刻表あらかじめチェックしておくことをオススメします。
9:50 bus from Airport took me to Aoshima in 35min.
※The public transportation is not convenient in Miyazaki, so if you are planning to take a bus or train, you should watch the time schedule.
レンタカーやタクシーの方が効率よく観光できます。
A rental car or taking a taxi may be a better way to travel in Miyazaki.
宮崎県は、魅力的な観光地が数多くりますが地理的に縦に長いため、
1泊２日で行けるところは限られます。
1日目は、観光バスで、日南方面を巡ることにしました。
青島バス亭では、（ガイドさんが待っていてくれました）
途中からの合流なので、青島観光はできず・・・
2つめの観光地、堀切峠 / 道の駅フェニックス が最初の観光地です。
マンゴソフトクリーム（400円）は美味。是非お試しを。

宮崎県は、野球のキャンプ地としても有名です。巨人選手のサインボード。

中新世後期（約700万年前位）に海中で出来た水成岩（固い砂岩と軟らかい泥岩が繰り返し積み重なった地層）が隆起し、長い間に波に洗われ、固い砂岩層だけが板のように積み重なって見えるようになりました。
青島から南の巾着島までの約8kmの海岸線に見られます。潮が引くと、磯遊びが楽しめます。

油津港
広渡川河口から油津港を結ぶ「堀川運河」は、飫肥藩が飫肥杉の運搬を効率的に行うためにつくられた運河です。1686年に飫肥藩主伊東祐実（すけざね）の命により二十八ケ月の歳月をかけ完成しました。
飫肥の街並
飫肥は、天正16年（1588）から明治初期までの280年間飫肥藩・伊東氏5万1千石の城下町として栄えたところです。武家屋敷を象徴する門構え、風情ある石垣、漆喰塀が残る町並みは、昭和52年に重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定されました。
Obi prospered as a castle town with a total of 51,000 stones by Obi-han's Ito for 280 years from Tensho 16 (1588) to the early Meiji period. The gate setting symbolizing the samurai residences, the quaint stone wall, and the cityscape where the stucco remains were selected as important traditional buildings preservation district in 1977.

鵜戸神宮【国指定名勝】
太平洋に突き出した鵜戸崎岬の突端にある洞窟の中に、朱塗りの色鮮やかな御本殿がご鎮座する珍しいものです。
岬のまわりには奇岩、怪礁が連なり太平洋の荒波が打ち寄せて、美しい景勝地となっています。
また、男性は左手、女性は右手で願いを込めながら運玉を投げ、亀石と呼ばれる岩の枡形に入れれば願いが叶うといわれています。
雨なので、滑りやすく注意が必要。
かつてここは、新婚旅行のメッカだったとか。
